I had been working the same job as a forklift battery and charger mechanic for the last 7 years. The job paid good for my area and the job itself wasn't bad. But the management was ridiculous and the whole shop just had a toxic vibe. The last two years I tried moving into other positions within the company by applying for 14 different positions and didn't get one of them. I always showed up on time and did everything asked of me and more and could never figure out why I was getting passed over for promotions. It finally all made sense, I wasn't apart of “THE CLIQUE”. Friends, relatives, ect were the ones getting these promotions mostly undeserving. So I decided to take a leap and open my own business by becoming a barber. I will be fully licensed in a couple months and I couldn't be happier! The money will come but it will be a building process but if I can do it so can you!
