I got charged to go home

I work at a medical clinic. About a month ago, I started feeling sick and told my supervisor, who set me up with an appointment at the clinic. I was diagnosed with a migraine and sent home. Just got a bill for 116 dollars. Despite my workplace being in network for the VA, its not TECHNICALLY an urgent care so it wasn't covered. If I'd said, “no, I don't want an appointment, I think I'm just heading home”, I guarantee it would have been used as a way to say “well, if you don't want to see the doctor, you can't be that sick/feel that bad”. So basically I was charged for the privilege of using paid time off to go home. The amount I was charged is more than I make in a day. I'm gonna tell my supervisor today that if I'm sick or feel bad, I will not be seen here. I refuse to pay out of pocket for that. She'll have to wait to get a doctors note from my primary like everyone else.
