I have been severely homesick for years.
Out of nowhere my in-laws asked me to come with them on a vacation to my home town. it was two weeks away. So i got tickets and the day before my flight i called off sick with covid.
They still begged me to come in the next day!!!
I told them my “symptoms” and they said “without a note or test you can't not show up”.
Funny enough i did have a note and test!! My in-laws are very prepared people (and did the same tbh).
I sent via email it all even though my manager had begged me to come in person.
She originally said she would have to “get back to me after coorpate responds).
Then they left me alone until i came back.
