I'm a military veteran and graduate with a bachelors in domestic violence and government, worked at this company for 19 months, wasnt best job. Had to fight for my right to practice my religion had to fight for my coworker with dementia so he wasnt treated unfairly and had to fight my own mental health. The job all around had become a drain and then something happened. My 24 year old coworker thought it would be appropriate to engage a 13 year old in conversations about a relationship and sex..I stopped that and asked the 13 year old to leave. 10 minutes later 24 yr old comes screaming in my face and I let him know in not so subtle words if he has a problem with what I said we can talk outside or in break room but dont yell in my face and he needed to stfu. “Sadly” a customer was still in the business and reported me. I got fired 2 weeks later with the company only caring that customer said they'd never return; company literally didnt care what my coworker said or how inappropriate his prior conversation was (suggesting they just wanted me out). I find out 3 days later a coworker cussed out a customer and literally nothing happen (hes a friend and let me know). But I never broke my morals and I'm happy again. I've gotten daily job offers EVERY single one offering way better pay and my mental state couldn't be happier. Sometimes good things can be disguised as bad things, now I'm appreciated, wanted, and rewarded for my hard work.
