I've been busting my ass at my current job since August '21, and today I suddenly find I'm scheduled for 5 hours per week. They even keep sending me home early. I have asked three times in the last two days to be scheduled at my minimum availability.
Management made up a sorry excuse I saw straight through. I was given no notice of this change or discernable reason for it. I'm honestly shocked and disgusted.
You are right to save your energy for yourself. You are justified in treating your employer like they're disposable because at the end of the day, that's how they treat you.
