This is a bit of a rant post but FUCK Lowe's Home Improvement. I applied late May when I got out of my semester of college, I've worked for Lowe's before in the summers, no big deal. I went through the interview, was told I was almost guaranteed the job based on my experience in customer service and that I've worked there before.
They lost my application after my interview and didn't contact me again.
I called several times to get up with a manager, a hiring manager, a scheduler, ANYONE. I finally get through and they've lost my application. I gave the lady my number and she said she'd call me back when she found it.
2-3 weeks go by, I had a surgery, I'm in recovery and realized I never heard from Lowe's. I call again, the phone rings for several minutes and I'm already irritated with their lack of professionalism. I call a different Lowe's (the actual location I used to work at) and see if they can do anything; I applied online. They couldn't do anything and encouraged me to apply for their several open positions online.
Nothing is open on the website and they don't take in person applications for god knows why.
So, okay, back the other Lowe's with the lost application. Several tries to get up with this Lowe's. They HAVE my application, but they chose someone else. Are you serious?? I'm willing to bet they lost my application, gave it to someone else, then found it again and never bothered to contact me. Oh, and now all their positions are full, despite the website saying they're not.
FUCK Lowe's.
