I had to work 6 and a half hours…WITH ONLY ONE FIFTEEN MINUTE BREAK

At my new job, they scheduled me to work a 6.5 hour shift for my very first day. And I only got one 15-minute break. So as it turns out, in my state, you're not required a second break unless you work at least SEVEN hours. All this time I thought it was every two hours. But nope. One for four hours, two for seven. That's asinine! See, at my last job, they were nice enough to give me a fifteen minute break every two hours, so I had assumed that was just the statewide requirement. Turns out that last job had a union, and this new one doesn't. By the way, this new job requires a lot of heavy lifting and standing on your feet for long periods of time. And yeah, minimum wage.
