I posted on a personal finance sub looking for advice as I’m cutting it pretty close on being able to pay rent this month. I’m working 10 hours a week at one job (that is all the hours they would give me) and 12-16 at another. All the replies are people calling me stupid and lazy and telling me to get a “real job”. Is the 26 hours a week I’m already working not a real job? I’m planning on getting a third job to get by and be able to save up for college. I’m struggling a lot with my mental health, and have arthritis at 18 which makes a lot of typical minimum wage jobs really hard for me. I’m in pain a lot of the time even without being on my feet 40 hours a week. I never have time for my hobbies anymore, and I’m working on turning those hobbies into more income if possible through selling my art and freelancing. I hate this. I wish I could live my life and do what makes me happy.
