I hate how toxic management basically ingrains in our heads that it's not okay to be sick. That when we're sick we should still be working and be prioritizing our job over ourselves and our health. I shouldn't feel bad about being sick. It's not like I purposely chose to catch a cold or whatever other bug keeps going around. This needs to change because we are people and we matter more than some big company that could replace us tomorrow. I just want to live in a world where if you're sick, everyone just moves on and doesn't make it an issue and you can come back after a few days when you're better like nothing happened. I shouldn't have to feel guilty about being sick and having to call in. I shouldn't have to feel guilty about my own health because my health is my problem and no one else's. Not my manager who makes me come into work while I'm coughing up a lung and can hardly talk. Not my coworkers who end up having to work short while I recover. It is no one else's problem but in this society it is and I'm over it
