Antiwork

I hate jobs that continue to turn to tradition when there’s a reason why old stuff didn’t work.

We had a new waitress come in and the front of house staff were not at all welcoming to her. As a result, the GM sent us a group text saying we had to have a mandatory meeting on our off day (Tuesday) and told us that customers would compliment us and that other restaurants were jealous of our “camaraderie” whatever the fuck that means. And made sure to let us know we shouldn’t think of ourselves as “irreplaceable.” Why we did all that just to have a faux meeting where we just shared our feelings like this was highschool. And no one wanted to come forward about the person they had a problem with because we all had to work together. We talked about having an expo person and a late night menu but did anything change since then? No. If anything we have less people working more hours…
