I work at an info desk in a mall and I’m so over it. At least once a day I get some crazy person who shows up and is either just out of their mind, unhinged, or just inappropriate. I’ve already had someone threaten to kill me and now my boss is “disappointed” that my coworker and I left the desk after someone we thought was an employee came over and started telling us how a family member was trying to have him murdered and kept asking us if we’d be willing to write a news article about it. I’m about to get grilled for that one tomorrow when I go in…I don’t think she’ll appreciate it when I say I did what I did because I listened to the voice in my head saying “you need to remove yourself from this situation right now.”
I’m so sick of it. I shouldn’t have to go to work and wonder what insane and possibly unsafe or dangerous situation is going to happen today. It’s really not funny anymore and I’m seriously contemplating handing in my resignation.
