I just got a job at an “authorized verizon dealer” and they preach about integrity and customer service while also piling on nearly impossible sales goals. This in turn makes the sales people resort to shady tactics. They told me to add insurance to any plan ($17 a month) and tell the customer they have to have it for at least the first 30 days. They count every person that comes in the store and expect you to sell at least one accessory to them! (never buy your accessories from verizon as they are insanely marked up) They don't help people who have problems with their newer phones or old people who have flip phones and can't get them to work because it doesn't give them a sale and if they do help you, regardless of what it is, they charge a $35 set up fee! I got yelled at for trying to help a guy figure out why his phone wasn't updating without seeing if I can upgrade it instead. I want to make money but not at the expense of other people. If you have any questions on verizons predatory practices I'm an open book, ask me anything!
