I have a feeling my former employer blacklisted (is that the term?) me from getting any similar job in the city

I’m gonna call my former employer Frog Care Center (FCC), it was a nursing home/rehabilitation center and I worked there for 2 years. The reason I left FCC was because of the constant bullying, homophobia, harassment, and even verbal abuse from my coworkers and supervisors/managers. I was also overworked with little to no help and was blamed for things I had no knowledge of because they didn’t communicate that to me (or anyone). The environment was so toxic it had started to affect my mental health and made me super depressed. But yeah I think I was blacklisted because my manager had beef with me because a few months back I texted her requesting my working weekend off because my mom had a serious UTI that resulted in a terrible kidney infection, making her unable to take care of herself. She said ok. The next day I was supposed to…

The next day I was supposed to come in for a covid test and I had to take my mom to the ER. I followed up that text updating her that my mom was in the hospital, and that I wasn’t sure what time I would get there to be tested and turn in my PTO sheet. Eventually I do get there several hours later (my friend stayed with my mom at the ER) and when i had her my sheet she gives me the dirtiest look.

After about a week or two of my mom finally recovering from her infection, I found out from one of my supervisors that my manager was basically sh*t talking my mom, talking about “OP didn’t need to take off, she [my mom] is a grown *ss woman, she can take care of herself!” which is kinda ableist considering that we literally work in a healthcare facility full of “grown” disabled individuals who can’t take [fully] care of themselves. So I wrote her a letter on her desk explaining my mom’s condition and asking her to communicate with me more instead of talking behind my back to other coworkers. So she found the letter WEEKS LATER, and then got suuuuuuper passive aggressive towards me, and not only that, but my other supervisors started being [even more] rude and passive to me too. And my supervisor who told me all of this to begin with, even started to gaslight me saying “there’s nothing wrong with what she said, you’re overreacting”.

There’s also some other reasons like homophobia, the her getting mad at me for things even though she didn’t communicate them to me, her fiancé leaving her and her taking it out on everyone, etc. FCC was begging me to stay but I left anyway and idk if that’s relevant or not?

But yeah ever since I quit, I haven’t been able to find a job since, and I’ve applied to over 30 jobs, and I’m not having much luck in getting an interview either. I have the proper experience, I have the skills, so why is it so hard to find another job?? Especially since everyone’s hiring due to the labor shortage?? Seems kinda weird to me idk.

TLDR: i think my manager blacklisted me from getting a new job in the city bc i asked her to communicate with me more and stop talking shit about my mom, homophobia and her fiancé leaving her might be involved in it idk
