I work in a nursing home for the past two and half years and every time I have tried for vacation they refuse me. If I ever wanted to take time off I have to fight like hell to get it off. Take LOAs which aren’t payed and even then I don’t get my time off.
This summer I want to take four days to go camping with my fiancé and they have refused every four days I have given them. I show up for my shifts I’m never late yet I got refused. If feels like I live in this nursing home myself. The most time I get off is two and it’s really messing with me mentally. I just don’t know what to do. :/
