I work as a research assistant in a university lab. I come I once a week to do analysis on stuff no one else has time to do. I’m a student and doing this for research experience.
There was a report I had to write up and I got up early today on the weekend to do it and sent it to my boss in an email attachment so he could see it at his own time.
He replied by telling me his weekends are reserved for his family and that I have some nerve contacting him on the weekend.
Promptly quit. Fuck that, my time is valuable too. What about the time I could have spent with my family?!
