It’s gonna involve getting out of my lease (expensive) to move in with family (who need help anyway), but Monday I’m tendering my resignation for the end of 2022.
They can’t can me. Academia, so I’m there til grades are in. Even if they wanted to, it’s procedure and we already had several folks quit and they have no one to man my classes.
Tired of the games.
If you’re planning to go into academia, remember that non tenure track means near-poverty wages, an unmanageable load, an expectation of unpaid work, and no carrot, only stick.
Don’t have a new job yet, but over 100 applications out. If I don’t have anything by 2023, I’ll freelance.
