I interviewed at Erewhon today.

Thinking they were going to have a great benefits package and salary. WRONG. They’re Los Angeles’ most expensive grocery market, where organic berries cost $15/lb, and a yearly membership costs $200/year, so imagine my disappointment when they told me that they would start me off at $17/hr, even though I have 6 years of management experience. I was crushed. That’s significantly lower than what I make now. But they stressed tips being great. Why should we have to rely on tips to survive when this market doesn’t pay their employees enough to actually afford shopping there. Needless to say, I turned down the offer.
