I interviewed for a job that offered less than want I asked for until a 2 month review.

I’m new at negotiating wages. I interviewed for a job advertised at $22-$24 an hour. I asked for $24 as soon as I spoke to the first recruiter, and was clear that it’s the minimum. I’m concerned about the long-term implications. If this is a common and harmless practice, and they follow through in 2 months, then I’m not worried. But if they’re just trying to cut me by $2 by playing mental gymnastics with my review, then I’m not looking for another manipulative employer.
