So I've been at my job for 9 months. Never late, never called out. Stay over when I need to, come in early when asked. On my way to work today, my transmission goes out of my van. I'm trying to pull into a parking lot to get out of traffic. I had someone offer to push it out of the way. So I call work to explain that my car is broke down, I'm blocking a portion of the road, I've gotta find a way to get it towed and get it fixed…only God knows how that's gonna happen cause I sure as hell don't get paid enough for that. My managers response is..i will come pick you up so you can work tonight. No. No you won't. I'm not gonna spend the next 8 hours stressed and crying cause I have no vehicle and no money to fix it. Just so she doesn't have to work a few extra hours. She's been in Jacksonville Florida the past few days…she can manage a few hours. I can't be there tonight. I'm just so over this crap…sorry for the rant. I just had to vent
