I just got home and I can’t even believe it. I just got body slammed against a wall because I disagreed to stay late to help someone who has always been an asshole towards me.
And you know what the best part is? When I told my manager that I was leaving, they paid no attention to me at all. They scolded the person who attacked me saying, “Now who is going to cover their shift”. No concern for me, no acknowledgement, and no punishment for the other party. They don’t care about you, they care about the work you do. Sadly I learned it the hard way today.
I don’t know if I can find another job, I have to go back tomorrow, and risk being retaliated against or attacked again.
Edit: I cannot afford a lawyer, but I plan on talking to hr higher up in the company to see if they will do something about it.
