I literally just got hired at this place called Canton Drop Forge. Today was supposed to be my second day but I was in no condition to work. I've been having sleep problems lately and it's caused me to not get enough sleep. I also had a big migraine this morning. I was in no condition to drive a fork lift and be around hot metals and other dangerous, loud machines. I told them I wasn't in a condition to work but I'll be at work tomorrow. Then later, I get a call telling me the president of the company is firing me. They said it's a “poor reflection of character”. Fuck you, I wasn't fit to work for the day. What would you like me to do? Come in to work sleep deprived and with a big migraine, driving a fork lift? The dumbest thing is that there's a 120 day probation period. Except you're not allowed to call off once during that. There's help wanted signs all around their building outside, but will fire people for the little things.
