The consultant was telling me how great and flexible they are with their employees and that they have many locations so they can make sure there is one that doesn't require a lot of travel. They said that they have loads of understanding of all types of disability and even mental illness so they are willing to make sure the shifts work around you and aren't out of you current capacity.
I'm not sure they picked up on how my excitement didn't quite match their own.
This is in Australia so obviously it's not the same as the US. Something still tells me there wouldn't be a dramatic improvement in work culture and suddenly compassion for worker wellness, especially when it comes to disability. But the thing is, if you don't go for the jobs they suggest for you, you'll face consequences and your already below-the-poverty-line support payments will be affected.
I'm to prepare for an interview with them. The two lovely representatives that so nice and will be eager to meet me because I'm a great fit for the role…
