I’ve put up with this abuse and bullcrap for 7 years. I asked my boss for a raise and he suggested I take out a loan despite me telling him I can’t because he put me on 1099. Today he said he didn’t want someone with my mentality in this position so I needed to put up a job ad and move back to my old position at $15/hour. I stood up, gathered my stuff and walked out the door without a word to him. I still am not 100% sure I made the right choice but I am now free to take any job I want and I have time to interview and I have three of my network contacts that are going to send me a reference letter so that should help.
