My first job was at Food4less.. The amount of secret shoppers on your ass and district managers showing up out of nowhere that just look like regular customers is absurd. I just tell them to fuck off (Seriously). The boss eventually got sick of my shit and said I was a bad employee but I never got fired (The union investigates first), Though I quit before it got to that point.
Despite the crap, My biggest regret is paying the $400 union fee only to quit two weeks later.
This was also 4 years ago, I just got reminded of my shitty retail experience when I went to go buy Ice Cream at Rite Aid yesterday and how depressing the environment was. The two cashiers said they don't do Ice Cream service and had to call someone in to which a lady from the break room comes out yelling saying “I'm not even suppose to be here!”..
