So I work for a large medical manufacturing company. I started in molecular diagnostics and for a year and a half I gave 110% I did the most. I put my heart, soul and booty in it. I'd skip breaks to meet quotas, I'd work every possible OT shift whether voluntary or mandatory. Didn't call put once and had most of my vacation time roll over into the next year cause I just didn't use it. I trained multiple people, cross trained in multiple processes and in multiple buildings.
Fast forward to my evaluation and raise time: i killed it. Highest possible scores on my evaluation, highest praise from team lead, supervisor, manager. They literally had no bad things to say. My raise however did not reflect that at all. They gave me less than a 2% raise. I didn't even make a full 50 cent increase.
Well fuck all that noise so I moved departments. Now I'm in antimicrobial susceptibility testing and I'm doing not a damn thing more than is absolutely necessary. I take full breaks, I take my vacation, I'm probably gonna empty out my sick days cause I can.im not volunteering for any amount of overtime.
This is bliss you guys. This is a work-life balance. Everyone should be super quiet 🤫 🤣
