To be honest I'm not sure what to do and how to approach it so made this burner account. There's an older guy at my job who's been making a lot of racial comments towards me and other people of color I work with. While everyone acknowledges it, no one does anything about it until I snapped on him last week and called him out.
Tldr, he runs up to corporate and tattles claiming an unsafe work environment. The kicker here is that I'm a very productive worker but any slip up from me and there's talk about suspension and termination, where the guy in question has a lengthy record of cheating hours, safety issues including nearly killing a construction crew and totaling the company van, and several people making complaints about his inappropriate comments.
I make an official complaint in response and their course of action is to stagger the schedule which means allhw has to do is say something or milk time by being in the office while I'm not allowed near him and I'm pretty much screwed here.
Is there any thing I can do to get this situation resolved? Am I legally protected if I tell them it's him or me? I love my job but I'm at the end of my rope with this guy and I need advice
