So in June I got fired by my boss with no warnings, no write-ups, after 6 months, after working through a strep throat breakout in the shop, and about a week away from being promoted.
I already had agreed with my boss that I would not come in before 10:00 and that I would close every night when I was hired.
Due to policy change we were being held to open availability, even though I can name three other coworkers that were not held to the same standards, and I was just letting my boss know that I would be 30 minutes late the next day because of something that came up, he told me out right “We don't need people like you here!”, “You can leave. Now.”
In July, I had spoke with my boss and asked if I could wear a pin if it wasn't offensive and he said it would be fine. On June 1st I wore a little rainbow pin and it made the manager extraordinarily uncomfortable. In the past I've witnessed a coworker saying homophobic things and I just wanted to ignore it. So everybody I've spoken to about it thinks I was fired because of this.
Since I was fired I have applied to 50 plus jobs. Only two of them have called me back. One of them wasn't going to pay me for my “Training Day” ,but that's not even why I left, I left because within the first 3 hours of me being there one of the employees called somebody driving by a f**** and the manager said “How do you know, have you slept with him?” ( Perrysburg quick lube)
The other one didn't give bottled water with no AC or fans, no safety procedure so every day I went home I was all cut up, lied to me about pay, told me I'd be coming in sooner than what the application said and what I was told when I was hired, and expected one person to lift over 100 lbs all by themselves (vinyl design corporation).
Don't have any money for my credit card bills, I was trying to get my credit up so I could buy a home next year, I actively have somebody helping me pay rent another utilities and I feel horrible about it. I haven't been able to sleep, I'm just so done. Because of the two jobs I went to I lost my unemployment.
Does anybody have any idea of what I should do? I'm scared of what's next.
