I did an interview, and got offered the job the next day, was literally asked if I still wanted the job because they wanted to offer to me obviously I said yes.
I went through background check past that, then got told to go do a drug screening, did that on Tuesday, it is now Thursday and I didn't hear anything so I figured I would call the other person who had given me the background/drug screening info.
She called me back to tell me that the people who do the screening of individuals or something said I don't have the job…
Of course I called them right away to see what the hell was up but they are closed right now because they are in Texas.
This goes on to my next point, we all know how there's a huge issue with transgender people in Texas, I am transgender, I did not hide the fact of that and it's pretty obvious given my birth name that is still taking forever to get changed down here in California.
I know for a fact I was offered the job, to me that says I have the job that even told me when my training would start this next week, I know I passed the drug screening because I don't do any sort of drugs, and I know I passed the background, would there be ANY of reason they would suddendly disqualify me after going thru all these hoops?
Does anyone know? I need some kind of answers so I'll be calling again Friday morning.
Also anyone know what I can do if they ARE trying to disqualify me due to discrimination for me being transgender?
