Recently I moved to be closer to family and to pursue higher education, and I decided to get a part time gig in the meantime.
It's at an unnamed self storage place, my job is to answer the phones, do new lease signings, file corporate paperwork and keep detailed logs of every interaction I have with anyone at work. Last one is weird and I'll get to that.
Beyond that I also take payments for customers, basically everything and anything that would need doing at a pretty big storage place. Currently the manager is the only other employee at this specific location other than myself. She's been running the place 7 days a week, but now it's my job for 4 days out of the week.
Sounds pretty ok? Well. I have yet to be fully trained in how to do the more important parts of the job like how to compile our paperwork or where anything is. Corporate also watches us in the office by camera and requires us to detail every interaction we have with anyone at work, even though our office is monitored by audio, video, and the phones are even recorded.
How the fuck do I get out of this before this Friday? I'm supposed to be running the damn place and I barely even know how to clock in, all the while a corporate entity watches intently.
