My youngest son (21) didn't listen to me when I said he needed to go to college to aquire the job he wanted working in the computer related field. He got a job working for a company installing security systems. He hated it. It was hot during the summer going into residential attics. He got all the certificates they said he needed to get raises. He was promised a raise twice but they never delivered. On a whim he applied for an IT job. This position required a bachelor degree. He didn't have it but applied anyway and took their test. He scored higher than anyone else by 50%. The interview went well and now he has the job making twice the money he used to make and doing something he actually enjoys. I'm very proud of him and I'm glad he didn't have to go in debt to find a job he really likes. He proved me wrong and I couldn't be happier that he did.
