I'm a cook at an extremely busy place not you think busy think triple that. I put my two weeks in and wasted 4 years of my life. On holidays we didn't get extra pay, Labor Day, 4th July, and St Patrick's Day. We NEVER got extra pay never no Matter that every business was closed around us. We took that damn business!!! It was painful the screens full sometimes two screens full of order we never got any extra pay. I gotta tell you hard work only pays off in really specific jobs like any other job you work hard you do more. Loyalty is only good on a resume but not in real world. Do it for resume if you need but that's about it. Don't suffer even if you feel it'll pays off because IT DOESN'T !!! I suffered for it don't fall for it please don't. There is always a better place and always someone better than you but remember if they are better than you they are falling for it. Times need to change.
