I quit March 9th after hearing that my manager was going to fire me and another girl soon. I already have a new job, fine whatever. I went to get my final paychecks from before I quit. I was told by the supervisor on shift who had called the manager after unsuccessfully looking that they are locked up and the only one who can access them is my manager. And the only way I get them back is if I talk to my manager directly. I can’t come in during my managers hours as I work those hours as well.
However the last time I spoke to her was the day I quit and she was screaming at me, calling me all sorts of names so I refuse to speak to her. I’m so mad. I live in NY so I think it’s illegal to even hold paychecks in general despite quitting or being fired or something. I requested them to be mailed when I quit.
