2 years ago I was working as a pretty handsomely paid software dev but I was not happy with the work culture in the company and I just didn't like it.
With my parents' support I up and quit and started doing some random stuff and making random pieces of software I wanted to make. One of them took off and got me some credibility and a freelance job. Soon I got another client as a freelancer and now I think it's time to expand. I can't take on more clients without at least one employee.
I live in a remote place in a third world country. I mean the median income is like 200$ a month and 500$ would be considered handsomely paid. i make at least 10 times that on any given month.
My intent is to hire a non college graduate and to pay them 200$ for 2-3 months for a training period and then if they learn enough to help me out to make it 400$.
Any new client I add would at least net me 3000$ more per month.
Here's the thing, I want that profit. How fair do you guys think this is. Cost of living here is low. Like a decent home and food for 120$ a month isn't unrealistic. I took all the risk, I spent 1.5 years of my life with zero income I do think I deserve to be rewarded for the name I created for myself. How would a person come up with what's fair?
I don't intend to reveal how much I make.
