I just started a job at a small local business in my town. There were a few red flags to begin with. The guy who owned our company demanded we refer to him exclusively as ‘Mr Surname’ and not by his first name which to me screams superiority complex.
Staff had little to no benefits and no incentive to stay with the company. All the other staff that worked there had been there 15+ years so they were just used to it but holy shit good luck hiring anyone new. Management consistently ignores feedback from team members and customers alike.
Today was the final straw when I found out my manager had been viewing us on CCTV on their personal phone. Not only during work hours but on their days off when sat at home…
Total crazy behaviour.
How these people expect to keep staff is beyond me. Now I’ve got to go through the effort of finding a new job and they loose an employee, who wins here?
