In my old job as software developer, my boss/manager took 3 months to give me a project and no wasn’t because I needed time to learn tools or new language, a senior developer he didn’t want to have other people beyond his friends working with him.
the manager gave me a job that I finished in 1 hour and after this I spent 2 years doing basically small fixes that takes 30 minutes, in my free time i basically fixed bugs caused by the senior developer that damage the company profits in 50k without anyone ask also created automation tools for ppl that work with support reducing the work load for them
Still the manager constantly complaining that I don’t work much, despite i showing the benefits that my work caused on support and revenue of the company, the senior developer feeling threatened by my bug fixing, constantly created fake complaints about me.
It was so stressful that I got depressed since this is my second work experience and second toxic job… in the last one i had to deal with under staff doing job of 3 devs basically go to work at 6 and getting out at 10pm everyday for 6 month till i burnout and quit
now that im jobless I fear apply to other jobs, i don’t know what to do
