Ok so, I used to work for this one pizza place as a cashier and had loads of other responsibilities piled onto me, no contract no nothing and the owner of the place was constantly lying to me about everything. Eventually instead of lying to me he just decided that when he calls me he is just going to shout at me, ignore me and be like “ok thanks bye” so I finally quit. Fast forward to six days after quitting, I get a call from the manager of the place telling me that everyone is missing me and that she wants me to come back, after a long chat I told her that I will “think about it” and then called the owner as he wanted to talk to me anyway. I call the owner and he asks me about an order that I didn’t even know they had and then asks for a “favour” which is going to hand out leaflets for him with the only mention of pay being “I will pay you for it” and I did try telling him “No” multiple times but he just talked over me saying that it is just a favour and I could use some exercise from that so I just told him that “I will get back” to him and just blocked him. Today, I received a text from the manager that I can come in from 4-6PM today as she already sorted everything out for my return as if I said that I am definitely coming back.
Tl;dr: I quit my job paying me way below minimum and now I am wanted back there
