I finally resigned from my job after a couple years of dealing with their toxic behaviors, absurd working hour requirements, and lack of professionalism.
Upon telling my boss and my project manager about me leaving, the project manager told me I had to stay longer because the company and my projects need me, and this is a really bad time for me to leave. I reiterated that ___ was my preferred end date and she said “I going to write down (5 days later). You’re required to stay as long as we need you according to your employee contract”
I sent a firm email later that night stating there was nothing in the contract about resignations, and that I will be leaving on the date I originally stated.
I still haven’t gotten a response to that email, and her and other management people have removed me from multiple meetings and haven’t sent me any other emails since… so glad I’m leaving!
