The title is the story in the plainest way that I can think of. I’m on mobile so I’m going to do my best to keep it as short as possible.

So I work on the grounds team at a small cemetery/funeral business it a middle class level cemetery. Coming into this I had only been to one or two funerals in my life, but the idea didn’t bother me so I applied and was quickly hired.

I met my now boss before I started working as part of my interview process, and when I met him he was quite the character. I believed we hit it off good and I started. Having no experience I followed him around and shadowed him seeing as he has been at this cemetery for 10 years we did a bunch of different things.

I’m going to skip ahead a little till around a month or so one of the supervisors knew I came from landscaping and asked me to start helping with certain things. In the cemetery I found that, when there weren’t services or work orders, everyone would kind of just go and do there own thing, so I started doing things the other supervisor asked.

This makes my boss upset because he says that it is a waste of time and says the time could be used better, then proceeds to not really give clear instructions to anyone for the whole day of work . I genuinely believed there was opportunity for me in this company and continued trying to stand out.

My boss has a bad temper, and I don’t believe he has had any real training in his ten years. He’s type of person to take his anger out on someone any way they can, usuallythru the way he talks to people. I, being the new person was the recipient of much of this.

I started hanging bird feeders, everyone liked them and it only took me 5 minutes to fill. He comes up to me and berates me and I start arguing with him asking why he doesn’t treat my other coworker like this. He gets upset and brings up little things I have done .( which my coworker does as well and he knows that ) I get upset and drive to the office where the HR person is and tell him how he is treating me.

They send me to another cemetery for a week and when I get back I’m working with just my coworker because we lost people in the office and Crematory. This turned out to be great because my coworker and I developed a great relationship and things got better . My coworker picked up my bosses slack and he taught me to essentially ignore my boss, he would never talk to my coworker like that due to how important he is.

I’m fast forwarding till last week when my coworker had a emergency and couldn’t work the whole week. Our company has barely enough people to operate as it is, and I had to work one on one with my boss at a really busy, stressful time. Now I’ve been here for over a year now and my coworker has trained me to the point where I can do most jobs and services at a cemetery.

The first day, he started by arguing with me about not knowing the exact grave number, then proceeded to tell me everything I’m doing is incorrect. I calmly asked him not talk me Talk to me that way. He responded by calling me a sensitive millennial and added some minor remarks. This continued more or less until that Friday where he made me snap. I didn’t want to go into the weekend angry like this and essentially begged him to talk to me. He ignored me and told me
It wouldn’t change anything. Long story short he calls my HR person and I send hmu Hr Rep a long text to which he doesn’t call me and responds telling me he will talk to the CEO and owner.

So I’tsthe weekend and I can’t let go of that anger and I started typing. I typed a 3700 word letter and sent it out Monday morning to the few people left who have been here for more then 3 months and know me as protection. It’s Tuesday now and all I have been told is that a copy was forwarded to the ceo and owner.

It wasn’t a smear campaign, and like I said there is a lot I left out. I’ll update if anyone is interested.

TLDR; I sent a 3000+ word email to my coworkers after being verbally harassed and HR doing nothing to stop it. I have no clue what will happen.

Edit. Ive typed this out in much greater details but I just tried to give a general idea of what lead up to me doing this.
