I thought this belonged here. I recently got a juice at a local place. When I was checking out I didn’t see an option to tip. So I asked if there was a tip option. She said yes, but it all goes to the owner anyway. WTF?!? So I started asking before tipping electronically and was very surprised that a lot of establishments the owner get all or a percentage of tips. Fuck that, I started carrying cash and tipping staff directly. I had no idea this was a thing.
