I graduated recently and started a new job a week before, I’ve been at the job for exactly 6 days. The job was advertised as a jr position and that training would be provided. On the first day the manager talked to me about what I’ll be doing for like 10 minutes then gave me a bunch of work to do so I just kind of had to figure it out myself. Everytime I finish something I give it to the manager to review before submitting it just to make sure that I’m doing it correctly since I have no idea what I’m doing. I’ve been working on so many things and today the manager pointed out that I made a mistake on something by inputting the wrong date ( it was something I worked on on my second day at the job) then he said something along the lines of “I ran it over but I just assumed people (me) would know what they’re doing”. Now I feel so stupid, I thought I was getting the hang of things but I’m clearly not but I feel like that was a harsh on his behalf. I also noticed that they’re not organized and there’s always someone getting yelled at. Is this a red flag?
