I finally got a job that had some downtime, a relaxed atmosphere and a very reasonable workload. Some days were stressful, some days were chill. Guy before me was a boomer who had that job for years before he choose to take a more active job.
I had that fucking job for 5 weeks before the owners tripped over themselves to find me more work. They complained about the quality of my paperwork, then gave me triple. They noted I had little experience and put me on my fucking own to drown. They said they wanted me office side to learn, then throw me in a fucking van to be either driving or on my feet the entire shift.
God fucking CHRIST. I didn't rock the boat, I didn't make a show of having downtime, I didn't overachieve. I did exactly what the boomer did and they could not fucking abide me making the same fucking money for the same work.
