My new boss has been a nightmare, she's been in the company 3 months and it has been an absolute nightmare and last Thursday I talked to her direct report who is also my boss but not directly above me.
But I'm losing my mind because I don't know if I did the right thing by talking to her boss, I tried to talk to her first about the things below like adults and even went to HR for some advice but things did not get better.
Some of the things that she has done to me personally are:
- She always tries to nag me whenever things don't go her way to the point that if she sees me talking to anyone above her she just gets paranoid and starts to nag me for this, she always says that “she is the leader, and leaders can only do that”
- She throws me and my teammates under the bus everywhere, if someone makes a mistake she points it out very quickly to her boss
- She is a racist piece of crap, she makes racist comments about my teammates and the company.
- She is very ineffective and doesn't respect anyone's time, to the point that she only talks about herself in team meetings (her life, hobbies, etc) and always prolongs the meetings because she doesn't have anything to do, not like 5 minutes more like an hour and she gets mad if you try to leave.
- She tells me all the confidential things that go on with the team and with senior leadership and it's always spreading gossip everywhere to the point that my team spirit is crushed
When I talked to her boss he was actually super comprehensive and even told me that “several people have complained” and that they “are taking measurements” but I'm freaking out because I don't her to make life more miserable and I don't know if I overstep some boundaries with this.
Yes I am looking for a job but I haven't found anything….
