I’m still furious from what just happened so I’m not in the mood to fully explain the situation so I’ll come back and edit later but basically I was told 2 weeks ago that I’d be getting a promotion from my straight out of college job as an AutoCAD drafter to mechanical engineer which is what my degree is in. The salary/raise that they offered me is 33% lower than the average starting salary and after my projected 3 year progression it is still 12% lower than the average starting salary. The whole time the HR guy was talking to me his tone was all happy like he was offering me such a good deal and I just smiled and said yeah sounds good because I have nothing else lined up and they said it’s nom negotiable so I’m going to accept and dip the first chance I can
