I had a vacation planned from 8/23 to 8/30 and on the last day of my vacation they just had an off day and not a “paid vacation” day and I assumed it to be like that so I wouldnt have to miss an extra day of work since we only have one other delivery driver at my store. I get told on my vacation on 8/26 that I would have to come in Tuesday. I tried to explain I took off Tuesday for my vacation but they said I didn't and it was only an off day so I had to come in. By Monday 8/29 I got a hold of the vacation calendar and saw that I scratched out that Tuesday so I questioned it. They said by law they can change my off day whenever so I had to come in. I connected HR, raised hell, and told my manager I wasn't coming in til Wednesday. I get to work today and I get a write up for “not following the chain of command” by going to HR and my scheduling manager and not my head manager.
Y'all I've had it. I've been working with an workman's comp case for months while in pain, I take short lunch breaks bc we're unstaffed, I've worked holidays, all to get told I'm not a team player, I'm slacking, etc. Now we have 2 meetings next week, I get a shift less than everyone else, on top of all this, we're always out of water like once a month for a day or two and today I had to beg for my manager to give the credit card to another coworker so we could have water.
I really just wanna quit today, I'm super super close to landing another job, but idk how I make sure I get my pay from HR and all those type of things if I'm just gonna text my manager a funny way of quitting. I have been taken advantage of, doing jobs I'm not supposed to do, working how I'm not supposed to while in a workman's comp case, and my manager straight up lied to me today so I'm just done. I kinda need the full pay check and the end of this week would be a full pay period, but idk how o can bring myself into work after the BS they told me today
