Really not sure what to do here. A little context will probably help.
I'm a 22 year old Australian, who's been working since the age of 17.
Currently, I work at a chicken restaurant that could be considered halfway between fast food and a restaurant (rhymes with “Rando's”.)
I've worked at this place for around a year and a half now. My base pay per hour currently is $20 and cents.
When I told my housemate about this, it blew his mind. We checked the Aus Fairwork Ombudsmen's pay calculator; according to that, I should be earning between $23-$29 an hour.
(The reason I cannot be more specific, is that my payslips do not list whether I am part time or casual. According to said government website, the minimum pay for part time, 21+year old fast food workers is $23.38, while the casual rate is is $29.23 )
I'm lost. The owners of the store and myself already don't see eye-to-eye. I don't want to get let go, but I also don't want to be working in the conditions I am for less than the legal pay.
I've added an imgr link below with three screenshots: the casual and part time minimum pay as according to the Fairwork website, and a cropped photo of my payslip, showing my base rate.
Any and all help would be much appreciated, as I'm really at a loss.
