I work for a small local company. I have already had issues with my boss rounding down my hours.When I brought it up they reimbursed me for the Hours I was missing but I am having to check every week to make sure they are paying me and it keeps happening. They tried to play it off that it was their accountant messing it up but I know it is them because they are the one who finalized our time cards.
Now this issue has come up. We drive our own personal vehicles to go to the jobs and my boss told us that what they are legally required to pay us is super low so it’s better for us if they just send us money if we ask to use for gas. I don’t trust that they are being honest so I have been trying to look up the law in South Carolina For what an employer is legally required to pay their employees for mileage and vehicle reimbursement for driving their own personal vehicle for the job. Can anyone help?
