( I just moved to another home, commute went from 40 mins to 1hr.. sometimes 1.5 hrs)
His response was, ” People in California drive an hour and sometimes ever more. You can't do it? This is normal. What do you want from me? What do you want me to do about it? Move the company? It's not even that far!”
I was like… “Maybe for you its close but for me its way too far. I would like to put in my 4 weeks notice. It would be a great time for you to find a replacement” I gave him a 4 week notice out of respect because he's my dad's BFF.
On my last week of work, my boss brings in 3 girls to come learn from me. Right in front of me, he told them, ” Hey, I know its really really far. Like REALLY FAR. So if you don't want to drive ALL THE WAY HERE, you can just stay in my other office and answer calls from there.”
REALLY??? His other office is 8 mins away from my new place and he didnt even thought of giving me that option. I did not even have to drive an hour there, all the work was done on a computer !! I was livid.
I worked here for 5 years. It was like working with Kim Jung Un.
Thank god I finally had the courage to leave.
I, now have PTSD from that job and I do not want to work anymore. I do not even have motivation to get another job. I really should go to therapy but my previous job just cancelled my insurance a few days ago.
