Likely nothing will come of it, but if they're gonna take anonymous input and give me half an hour paid to say my piece, I guess I might as well.
My boss has started asking employees to find friends to work there, as our small store is very understaffed. I am kind of pissed off by that tbh. It's the hiring manager's job to hire, not employees. We got enough on our plates without helping to clean up the mess higher-ups make by not offering enough pay. I told him “yeah it's gotta be frustrating only being able to offer a wage like this that most people can't live on”
I put in the survey that said boss could do his job better if only he was allowed to pay a minimum wage that kept up with inflation over the past two decades. He'd be able to find plenty of new hires if he was allowed to offer a living wage.
And I am fucking pissed at the needlessly racist packaging on the food at my store so I put in a remark about that too. God, it's 2022 — fix your fucking chinese food labels already!
