I told one of my colleague to stop bothering me.

So, I am a software engineer and there was a requirement for another team. My manager told me to help that team with my expertise and I accepted. The requirement for that team is to build a Continuous Integration [CI] pipeline to automate certain things. There is a guy on that team who actually needed the help. Let's say his name is John. I already had a lot of work on my ToDo list and on top of that John pushes his work to me. John is the owner of the CI task and I am the one whose supposed to help out.
So John says to me that he doesn't have experience working on CI tools.
I parallely work on both my task as well as his and it's almost 5 days, John asks me if the CI pipeline was completed or not. So, I tell him that it's almost about to be completed. He replies saying why so much time, it's already been a week, to which I said that I have been working on it from scratch and that amount of time is expected.
John further replies telling me to take his work on priority as he has to submit the work to client. (This really pissed me off). He doesn't put any effort on the work he owns and bosses me to complete it.
I didn't want to escalate and was in a mood to finish the work and get rid of communicating with him. So after almost 7 days I completed designing the CI pipeline. During testing phase there was an error that was occurring in his code. Actually the error was from the container base image they use. Now he says me that the issue is on my machine and tells me to raise a ticket with IT team. I say that the issue is not on my host machine but the image they are using to spin the container from. John later calls me and he says that I am not understanding the error, so i got frustrated and told him to stop bothering me as I have more than 3 years working on this technology and I know what the actual error is and then I cut the call abruptly.
