I told the barista to unionize

I was getting a drink at Starbucks yesterday and was in the drive through. Rather than order at the kiosk, a young lady was out walking in the rain from car to car to collect orders on a tablet. When she got to me, I asked her why she wasn’t standing by the kiosk which was covered. She said that by the kiosk the manager could hear. I asked why she wasn’t wearing a rain jacket or have an umbrella. She said that when she came out to work the line it wasn’t raining and now she was to busy. Apparently wait time in the drive through is the metric Starbucks most cares about in its stores. I looked her in the eyes and said she needed to lead the charge to unionize her store. Seriously, I’ll wait a minute longer if it means some team member isn’t standing in…
